Bob Herbert, of the New York Times, is one of my favorite columnists, as much for what he writes about as for how he writes. Today he is doing the whole world a great service by writing about the new president of the United Auto Workers, Bob King. It is a heartening column that everyone should celebrate.
And I celebrate Bob Herbert for writing about unions at all. One of the things wrong with this country is that those of us who aren't in unions don't hear nearly enough about what's going on with them. Bless you, Mr. Herbert.
