The leader of the Sojourners community (while sometimes being annoying for a variety of reasons) had a recent eloquent piece that summarizes a lot of my feelings about Obama's recent decisions about Afghanistan.
The only quibble I would have with this is that, in his quest to be taken seriously as a policy influence, Wallis justifies his preferred approach based on his assumptions about its higher likelihood of "success". As a rather radical Christian pacifist, I have to say that I don't really think Jesus was very much interested in "success". But then again, compromises are what keep us human.
