Maureen Dowd frequently annoys me. That makes me sad, because I like to be supportive of women in journalism and other male-dominated fields. But Maureen frequently lives up to those words that are somehow reserved only for women we don't like, words like catty and shrill.
Her recent column on John McCain, however, is spot on. And it's sad that it's true, because he could have taken such a different (and better) direction.
