As Paul Krugman points out that he pointed out before, you can only achieve a 'post-partisan" era if both parties are willing to cooperate. Ain't happening. This was always the part of Obama's rhetoric that seemed most distressing to me. No one is that charming. And pit bulls aren't particularly susceptible to charm anyway.
It's time to let go of the illusion that people will be reasonable and move on with what the majority of Americans know needs to happen, on health care, on energy, and more.
